Good stuff. I think the difficulty we have with only male (named) authors of Scripture is that it codes authority to the flesh. History then follows in the Bible's footprints by only recording men or women who thought and wrote like men. Thus those who lived the quiet lives we are to attain to are overlooked because we have no reference of them ever existing. John (or whoever) does us a service by reporting on those we otherwise wouldn't know existed.
